Terms of Service

Brode is an online service that converts bitmap images into vector files (SVG, PDF, EPS, DXF) and machine embroidery files (DST, PES, JEF, VP3, EXP, U01, XXX). These terms govern the use of the service.

Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. We may suspend or delete an account in case of fraudulent or abusive use of the service.

The service operates through subscription plans with monthly quotas: each plan defines a number of vector conversions (SVG, PDF, EPS, DXF) and machine embroidery conversions (DST, PES, JEF, VP3, EXP, U01, XXX) per monthly cycle. The free plan is available without a credit card.

Quotas refill at each monthly cycle; unused conversions do not roll over to the next cycle. A failed conversion is not counted (automatic restitution).

Subscriptions are monthly or yearly (the yearly plan offering the equivalent of two free months compared to monthly), with no commitment: you can change plans or cancel at any time from your account. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated by Inflowpay: any difference due is charged right away and, when switching to a cheaper plan, the unused portion of the period is converted into credit on your customer account — deducted from subsequent invoices and not refundable in cash. After switching to a plan with lower quotas, conversions beyond the new quota resume at the next cycle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, at which point the account reverts to the free plan. Payments, invoices and taxes are handled by Inflowpay (merchant of record).

Prices are shown on the Pricing page, all taxes included. Immediately delivered digital content: by ticking the pre-payment checkbox, you request full performance of the service upon subscription (quotas available immediately) and expressly acknowledge waiving your 14-day right of withdrawal, as permitted for such content under EU consumer law. This waiver is optional: it is only requested at the time of purchase, and your consent is timestamped and kept on record. The legal conformity guarantee is unaffected by this waiver.

Refunds: requests are reviewed by Inflowpay (merchant of record), which also handles payment disputes. A subscription with no significant use of the service may be fully refunded upon request; where the service has been used, any refund is calculated pro rata of the remaining period, consumed conversions being deducted based on the unit price shown on the Pricing page.

Account deletion: you can delete your account from the settings at any time. Any active subscription is then cancelled for the next renewal date — no further charge is taken — but the period already paid is neither refunded nor extended; for any refund request, contact support.

You agree to only convert files you hold the rights to and not to use the service for unlawful purposes. We may throttle request rates to preserve service quality.

Your files remain your property; we claim no rights over your images or the produced files, which are delivered to you. The Brode service (software, trademarks) remains the property of its publisher.

The service is provided "as is". Automatic conversion may require touch-ups depending on the source images; it is the user's responsibility to check the output files before any professional use (especially machine embroidery or cutting).

These terms may change; the applicable version is the one published online at the time of use.

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution; failing agreement, the French courts shall have jurisdiction. Consumers residing in the European Union retain the benefit of the mandatory protections of their local law.
