Machine Embroidery Stitch Simulator

Drop an embroidery file (DST, PES, JEF, VP3, EXP, U01 or XXX) and watch it stitch point by point, thread by thread — exactly as your machine will. Check a design before embroidering it: needle path, thread changes, color order.

How it works

Three steps, no installation

A browser is all you need: the file is parsed on our servers and the needle path replayed on your side.

  1. 1

    Drop your file

Drag and drop a DST, PES, JEF… file. It is parsed on our servers — no account, no retention.

  2. 2

    Watch it stitch

The simulator replays the exact needle path: every stitch, every jump, every thread change — with zoom and per-thread navigation.

  3. 3

    Check before you embroider

Color order, travel runs, overly dense areas — spot issues before the machine starts.

Privacy: nothing is kept

The file is processed anonymously, without an account, and automatically deleted a few minutes after the simulation (15 minutes at most). No copy, no lasting storage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the simulator really free?

Yes — no account, no cap on simulations. Drop a file, watch it stitch, repeat as often as you like.

Is my embroidery file kept?

No. The file is parsed in memory, the simulation result expires after 15 minutes, and everything is deleted automatically. No account is required.

What is the difference between simulating and converting?

The simulator reads an EXISTING embroidery file and shows how it will stitch. Conversion — the heart of Brode — starts from an image (PNG, JPG logo…) and CREATES the matching embroidery file.

Why don't the colors match my threads?

The displayed colors are the ones stored in the file. Some formats (EXP, U01) carry no colors at all: an indicative palette is then used, as embroidery software does.

Can I simulate a purchased or downloaded design?

Yes, provided you own the rights to it. That's exactly the ideal use case: check density, travel runs and thread order before embroidering.

What does the displayed stitch count mean?

It is the number of real stitches in the file. The progress bar follows the full needle path — sewn stitches and travel moves — exactly as your machine will record it.
